We provide a wide range of physiotherapy services at our ALLOVEDAS CENTER including treatment of age related degenerative joint changes, osteoarthritis, cervical and lumbar spondylitis, post-operative rehabilitation, frozen shoulder, sports injury rehabilitation, Ligament injuries rehabilitation, post knee and hip replacement, neurological conditions, antenatal & post-natal cases.

Your Therapist will start by asking you questions about your problem/concerns, any other medical conditions, medication, work/hobbies /lifestyle. They will then carry out a full assessment which may include looking at movements, muscle/joint/nerve tests and palpating (gently feeling) the structures surrounding any problem structures.

They will discuss their findings, giving you an idea of what the problem is and if treatment will help. If this is considered suitable then your treatment choices are discussed (see Treatments). Your initial appointment is longer than subsequent sessions to ensure that you receive some treatment immediately.

If you have any other questions at all please do not hesitate to contact one of our friendly reception staff, who will assist with general queries, or one of our Therapists who will be more than happy to help with more complicated and clinical queries.

Our experts deliver the treatment through their own hands using manual therapy techniques. If needed certain modalities (IFT, US, TENS, Muscle Stimulator, Cryotherapy, etc.) will be used depending on prognosis.

Manual Therapy is a widely used treatment technique in countries like USA, UK, South Africa, Australia, etc. for any musculoskeletal or sports related injuries whether it is acute or chronic. In this technique, the physiotherapist uses his/her hands to treat the tight areas of the body which could be responsible for the symptoms.

Will manual therapy help me in case of severe issues like chronic back/neck pain, frozen shoulder, etc.?

Yes, since majority of chronic conditions occur due to tightness of muscles or stiffness of joints which can be very well treated and improved through manual therapy techniques. Additionally, detecting underlying problem and developing movement control will prevent further recurrence of problem.

Manual therapy treatment vs traditional physiotherapy (electrotherapy) treatment Manual therapy focuses on the root cause of any problem rather than just giving symptomatic relief whereas traditional physiotherapy (electrotherapy) treatment would only give a symptomatic relief by blocking the nerves that carry the pain sensation to your brain.

Sports rehab aims at treating athletic injuries and helping the athlete reach his/her optimum fitness levels while physiotherapy aims at treating injuries in non-athletes.

Anybody who is undertaking any fitness program or athletic/sports training, including gym goers, amateur runners, budding sports professionals to professional players need sports rehab if they feel any discomfort or decreased level of performance.
