Neck & Back Pain

Back pain or neck pain are symptoms arising due to any unwarranted conditions pertaining to the spine, which results in the surrounding muscles of the back or neck to get affected. This causes severe injury to the muscles, where in the fibers of the muscles are overstretched, culminating in tearing of the muscles. Over use like in case of heavy weight lifting may precipitate in muscle injury, or another factor could be due to repeated motions amounting to continued levels of stress on the neck as well as the back muscles.

Muscle injury in itself is not something to be alarmed about, but coping with the resultant excruciating pain is what can be a source of deep concern for the patient.

Back or neck pain can vary depending on the patient’s presenting issue which could be a dull and continuous pain or it could be an instantaneous and sharp pain, which could go on for days together or even stretching to months. Treatment for people with neck or back pain could be associated with the underlying problems such as Arthritis, disc related conditions such as Degenerative Disc Disease or Herniated Disc, muscle strains or injuries, bone related conditions such as Osteoporosis( loss of bone density) and the like.
